1. How is the Executive PG Program in Management
different from the other Executive MBA Programs?
The E-PG Program is a world-class Post Graduate
Management Program designed, developed, delivered and assessed by
a consortium of international faculty and professionals from the
industry with global exposure. The contemporary curriculum and knowledge
disseminated through distributed learning mechanism
gives students an overall exposure to the best management practices
preparing them for new levels of leadership within
their organizations. This program is not a correspondence
or a distance learning Program. It is a highly
interactive, classroom-oriented, rigorous and accelerated Program
for working professionals only.
2. What are the benefits of this Executive
PG Program?
The E-PG Program helps graduates understand contemporary
theories and real life applications, think critically complex issues
of global business and develop feasible international business plans,
thereby enhancing their career opportunities and
marketability in the global work place. The Program provides
you an edge to lead in the global marketplace.
3. I am a working executive; can I pursue this
program on a part-time basis? When are the classes held?
Yes, this Program caters to the functional needs
of working executives and industry in bringing quality management
education without inconveniencing the professional life of an executive
student. The classes are held only on week-ends and students have
a choice to attend the live interactive classes on-line with the
help of a good internet connectivity or/and at the School.
4. Do the students get to interact with the
program faculty regularly?
ALLIANCE recognizes the need for direct interaction
with the Program faculty. Students of this Program get a chance
to interact extensively with faculty beginning with an orientation
Program followed by several sessions with faculty during the week-end
sessions. .
5. What is meant by ‘Distributed Learning Mechanism’?
The E-PG Program is a highly interactive Program
that makes use of a dedicated e-learning portal (www.abscdl.org)
with on-line content (PowerPoint presentations, cases, and an extensive
e-library providing access to an international repository of books
on various subjects). The e-portal contains a learning support system
called Learning and Content Management System (LCMS) which provides
students the functionality to log-in to live interactive online
sessions with the instructor. Students can upload completed assignments
on LCMS for evaluation and book examination time slots well in advance
at select centres. This Program also provides approximately 100
hours of subject wise video lectures of faculty exclusively designed
and recorded for this Program. Ten hours is allotted per subject
for classroom clarifications either at the school or on the world
wide web. Doubts can also be clarified through e-mails.
6. What is the system of evaluation?
Students are continuously assessed during an
academic term on the basis of take-home assignments which are application-based.
Towards the end of each term (four months) computer-based invigilator-led
examinations are conducted at selected centers nation wide. International
students can take up online examinations from any part of the world.
